Job Summary:
The Sr. Applications Engineer / Solutions Architect will develop, train & lead a small team of Applications Engineers to provide unique product application solutions, drawings, cycle time calculations, cost estimates and ultimately direct customer-facing proposals. These professional proposals will be provided to end-users or mostly professional integrator partners and will include the proper application of a wide range of Gebhardt products. Gebhardt Products include ASRS, pallet unit load stacker cranes, miniload tote and case One Level Shuttles, Multi-Level Shuttles, Pallet & Case conveyors, horizontal and linear cross-belt sorters, and many other applications to provide the most efficient customer solutions with the best ROI.

The Sr. Applications Engineer / Solutions Architect will develop, train & lead a small team of Applications Engineers to provide unique product application solutions, drawings, cycle time calculations, cost estimates and ultimately direct customer-facing proposals. Required Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides full systems/solutions, 3D layouts utilizing AutoCAD, Inventor, Factory Design Utilities, Vault, ACC-Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit for building construction levels
- Provide high-end animations or simulations, Emulate 3D solutions or other validation methodologies.
- Provides timely and accurate proposals and cost estimates.
- Provides Cycle-Time calculations for system throughputs & rates.
- Provides/develops configurable costing & estimating tools & metrics (SAP, Excel).
- Provides system throughput, material flow diagrams & presentations to customers and product application training sessions to integrators.
- Work closely with and cross train with German HQ colleagues.
- Assists with developing & maintaining policies and procedures.
- Assists with the recruitment, hiring & onboarding of new staff.
- Oversee the daily scheduling workflow of the department.

- Prefer a B.S. degree in Engineering, related field, or proven experience.
- Prefer a minimum of 5-10 years related experience, preferably in the materials handling industry.
- Able to travel up to 10-20% without assistance to lead highly interactive project sales and customer presentations and integrator training.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
